'ello! I'm Liam (he/they), a queer Artist based in Sheffield, UK.My masterpieces are created in MS Paint. Stick around if you love silly drawings, medieval art, and internet memes.I have a 1st in BA Fine Arts from a real university, so you have to believe me when I tell you this is real art.

Hi, it's me. I'm a multidisciplinary artist hoping to change the world (in a good way). Background & Work
I was born in Sheffield, moved around a bit for school, and accidentally ended up back in Sheffield when I picked a Fine Art (BA) degree at Sheffield Hallam University in 2012.
After graduating with a 1st, I began working full-time firstly as a Graphic Designer for 2 years, and then a 3D Artist, which I've now been consistent with for about 7 years! While it's an honour to be an employed creative, I still have so much more creativity to share with the world. My MS Paint work is a deeply personal project for me and I'm incredibly passionate about it.How Did This Start?
The year is 2014... I went to a Gothic Industrial music festival called Resistanz. My friends were making jokes about a particular band, which inspired me to draw a goofy caricature in MS Paint and share it. People loved it. From that day I created a Facebook art page with the name Musik Pictures I Drawn where I continued this theme on and off for almost 10 years. This opened up many opportunities, professional and personal - helped me make new friends and also share a collective joy with a subculture I'm part of.
In 2025, after some personal reflection, I felt a void in me which Musik Pictures used to satisfy, and with my ever growing medieval enthusiasm, and growing interest in historical art - I had a eureka moment and just smushed these 2 things together into whatever this whole thing is now.I love it

Artist Statement

Art for change
Inspired by cartoons and internet memes, Liam harnesses this accessible and humorous format for their inner child, exploring with wonky and vibrant imagery.

Digital simplicity
MS Paint is a digital art program included with a Windows computer, and it is both restrictive and liberating. With this, ideas can be explored and created without the pressure of perfection.

Medieval manuscripts
Liam is inspired by medieval history and its art. Art in this time had less focus on realism, and instead explored symbolism and storytelling, or sometimes, silly drawings. Liam revels in sharing fun history facts and his passion in his work to inspire others.

Other Work

Murals
Off the Canvas
I was invited to paint a mural onto the wall of Off the Canvas's creative room. Local artists were given inexpensive acrylic paint and brushes and encourage to put anything on the wall.
I chose my then viral famous 'butt trumpet' character to depict. At the time of painting, the walls were almost fully covered, and in a true medieval mindset of marginalia to find a gap along an edge and sneak in this cheeky trumpet fella.

Editorial
Fair Play utd
I was contacted by Fair Play to contribute a piece of work to reflect the publication's topics of amplifying working class creative voices.
They reached out in relation to a recent anti-generative AI art poster which was steadily going viral on Instagram. The final publication used one of the triptych posters as a full-page feature.

I love sharing my creativity with others, so if you have an idea then please contact me on instagram. All my work is created digitally in MS Paint, and I can also transfer my style to physical mediums.

As a previous professional Graphic Designer, I understand technical requirements and strong communication when working collaboratively.
I use other software such as Photoshop to complete layouts and file settings for professional use. I am able to fulfill professional quality work at high image resolutions, in the correct colour space, and in efficient file formats - especially for work to be printed.
Perfect for: illustration, book covers, event flyers, album covers, tattoo design, shop window murals, caricatures, or anything else you have in mind!
